Karolina Leonte KNOWN AS ΚΛRO
is an Artist based in Los Angeles, California.
Karolina was born in 1984 in Krakow, Poland. She moved to Los Angeles in 2009, where she currently lives. She began drawing at an early age due to her father's influence and natural artistic ability. In Los Angeles, she graduated from Animation Mentor with a degree in character animation/CGI. In 2019 she decided to return to her first love: pencil and paper.
ΚΛRO’s recent work blends self-portraiture with playful parody, often pairing black-and-white drawings with unexpected pops of color.
THE PROCESS
“I’ve developed my own technique using graphite and charcoal in both pencil and powder form, blending them with my hands, brushes, and cotton swabs. I often incorporate oil-based colored pencils, acrylic paint, or fabric to introduce color and create a mixed-media effect.”
ΚΛRO’s work has been featured multiple times at LA Art Show, Art Fair New York, Art Unified Gallery in Venice, Art Share LA Gallery in Los Angeles and more!
